The Straffe Hendrik Heritage 2023 is a limited edition of a unique blend of the iconic Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel, aged for at least one year in American oak barrels in the medieval cellars of Brouwerij De Halve Maan. The result is sublime! The aging process gives the beer a very complex palate, with notes of port, liquorice, and dark fruits, and a very rich aroma. It is a strong, dark, and malty beer that is highly gastronomic and can be cellared for 10 years. It pairs well with cheeses, game dishes, foie gras, and, of course, chocolates.
