Expiration Dates

Items that are 1 month away from the expiration date indicated on the packaging, which may be labeled as “Consumir de Preferência antes de”, “Best Before Date”, or “BBD”, go on sale. Higher-alcohol beers, such as Barrel Aged or Lambic beers, age very well; however, more delicate styles like Pilsners or IPAs will have their organoleptic characteristics more significantly affected, particularly their aroma.
