About the beer

Lupulus was born in 2003, in Courtil, in the Belgian Ardennes, founded by Pierre Gobron under the name Les 3 Fourquets. The Blonde is the house's benchmark Tripel: unfiltered, bottle-refermented, with a golden, slightly hazy body and a creamy ivory head.

In the aroma, notes of citrus meet herbaceous touches; on the palate, a soft and controlled bitterness balances the malted sweetness, leading to a fresh and dry finish — light on the mouth, despite the 8.5% ABV.

It pairs with grilled fish, whose delicacy is enhanced by the beer's freshness (complement). It accompanies soft cheeses, such as brie, in contrast to the fat (contrast). It is also a good companion for salads with citrus, which reinforce the hop's citrus notes (affinity), and its lively carbonation cleanses the palate between bites of seafood (cleansing).
