A special edition for cold nights and warm hearts! Delirium Black Barrel Aged is a barrel-aged beer, resulting from a blend of Delirium Nocturnum and Delirium Christmas. It is a deep amber beer aged for 9 months in oak barrels. It is spiced, with a taste of caramel, bourbon, a light touch of almond, and pleasantly bitter. You will find notes of vanilla, in addition to a good alcoholic bouquet. It pairs well with Roast Turkey in the company of friends and family! Cheers!

About the beer

A Delirium Black Barrel Aged estagia 9 meses nas barricas de carvalho da Buffalo Trace Distillery. Apresenta-se num castanho-rubi escuro e intenso, uma coroa de espuma beige. O aroma tem as notas típicas da levedura belga, açúcar cristalizado e notas leves de bourbon. O sabor é bastante intenso, primeiro com as notas da madeira e bourbon a abrir o bouquet, seguidos do açúcar caramelizado e da levedura belga. O bourbon marca presença, mas não é demasiado dominante, forma um excelente blend com a cerveja-base.

A Brouwerij Huyghe foi fundada em 1906 por Leon Huyghe, em Melle, Bélgica. Faz parte do grupo restrito de cervejeiras ainda sob gestão familiar e produz várias cervejas de excepção, desde logo a Delirium com o seu icónico elefante cor-de-rosa, da qual se destaca a Delirum Tremens, considerada por várias vezes “A melhor cerveja do mundo”!
