What makes this edition especially unique is that, by purchasing the La Trappe Blond Special Edition, you are contributing to a charitable cause. Part of the proceeds is donated to orphans in Kasasa, a small village in the heart of Uganda, near Kyotera, where the monks of Koningshoeven Abbey have established a monastery. In Kasasa, a group of four women cares for 140 children who lost their parents due to the devastating effects of AIDS. These children are often stigmatized and are not taken in by their biological families, leaving them entirely dependent on the support of the local community. The orphanages that house them have limited resources and rely on local food aid. Education is often out of reach for these children, and many are forced to beg to meet their basic needs.
