Martin's Pale Ale 33 cl

ABV: 5.8%

A complex beer in all its simplicity, that is the Martin’s Pale Ale. Silky and slightly salty, with subtle notes of caramel and herbaceous, almost woody aromas. A present bitterness, resulting from the English hops typical of the style but which result in a very balanced and controlled palate. Excellent with a Cheddar cheese, Fish & Chips or Shepherd’s Pie, the typical English pub food. EAN: 54004023

About the beer

A traditional English Pale Ale, silky and slightly salty, with a superb bronze colour and subtle notes of caramel or even chocolate thanks to the brewer’s special malt. While the English yeast imparts notes of blackcurrant, English hops such as Fuggle and East Kent Golding add distinctive, almost woody, herbal aromas to Martin’s Pale Ale. And although the hops are very present, the bitterness is always balanced and controlled.

As mentioned, the hops used in an English Pale Ale are generally traditional English hop varieties, such as Fuggle, Goldings, and Challenger. These hop varieties tend to provide earthy, floral, and subtle spicy notes, in addition to moderate bitterness. The English Pale Ale is a more balanced beer in terms of flavour compared to other Pale Ales, such as the American Pale Ale, and the hop flavour should not overpower the malt flavour. In other words, generally speaking, the hops used in an English Pale Ale are selected to complement and balance the malty flavours rather than dominate them.
