Balanced on the palate, it has a fresh, bitter hop finish that dries out the sweeter malts, making it refreshing and very drinkable, even with a high ABV (7.5%)

About the beer

Founded in 1134 by Count Arnold II of Loon, brewing activity at Averbode Abbey in Belgium has never ceased since the 14th century. For the production of its "new" beer, the Abbey entrusted Huyghe Brewery due to its excellence and respect for the past, and because they share the same vision regarding the environment and social responsibility. Averbode has won over a dozen international awards, including the Gold Medal at the Brussels Beer Challenge 2024 and the International Beer Challenge in London 2018.
