Erdinger Weissbier is synonymous with wheat beer and is perhaps the most recognized Weissbier brand in the world, and Portugal is no exception. Founded in 1886 in the Bavaria region by Johann Kienle, Erdinger Weissbräu began its successful journey as a producer of “weizenbier” – weizen (=wheat) bier (beer). The Brombach family was the main driving force behind the brewery as we know it today.
