About the beer

Aura was born from a three-way collaboration: Oso Brew Co. from Madrid joined forces with the British Verdant Brewing Co. and Prizm Brewing Co. to create this 7% ABV NEIPA, originally conceived for the first edition of the Fresh Festival.

The result is a hazy, silky, and generously aromatic beer. The combination of four hops—Mosaic, Strata, Nelson Sauvin, and Azacca—builds a highly expressive tropical and citrus profile: mango and tangerine from the Azacca, passion fruit and resinous notes from the Strata, white grape and gooseberry from the Nelson Sauvin, and tropical fruits and blueberry from the Mosaic. On the palate, the body is smooth and the texture silky, characteristic of a well-executed NEIPA. The finish is fruity and long, without aggressive bitterness.

Pairing: Aura pairs well with dishes of moderate intensity that do not overwhelm its aromatic profile. With grilled chicken with mild spices, the contrast between the freshness of the beer and the heat of the spices is immediate. With salmon or tuna sushi, the affinity with the citrus notes and the cleansing carbonation work in complement. With soft-ripened, washed-rind cheeses, the beer's tropical sweetness balances the saltiness. It also goes well with tropical fruit desserts such as grilled pineapple or mango tart, where the affinity of aromas is direct.
