About the beer

Ryewine is a rare style, now with its own category in the Syndicato catalog. The 10Y Homebound, from Moersleutel, a Dutch brewery in Alkmaar, is a dense Espresso Ryewine crafted with three single-origin coffees from the Keen Coffee roastery: Danche, from Ethiopia, brings sweet strawberry, raspberry, and peach; Buesaco Collective, from Colombia, adds blackberry, smooth black tea, and toffee; and Rony Herrera, from Nicaragua, finishes with raisins, mandarin, and a hint of pear. With 33% rye malt, the body gains a chewy density and a spicy touch of cinnamon and warm caramel. The IPA yeast used in fermentation enhances the fruity notes and softens the texture, transforming this robust beer into a liquid dessert to be sipped slowly. Pairing: tiramisu creates a direct affinity due to the coffee profile; caramel desserts reinforce the malted sweetness; aged cheeses offer a salty contrast; long-cured charcuterie complements the rye spice; it also works on its own as a post-meal digestif.
