Timmermans Oude Kriek 37.5 cl
ABV: 6.7%
The world's oldest fermentation! This little wonder will win you over with its subtlety of flavor. A wild and fresh aroma combines with a completely liberated taste from the very first sip, leaving a note of authenticity on the palate while maintaining all the mystery of Brussels gueuzes. In the Oud Kriek version, fermentation with cherries gives it a fruitier and smoother touch. The shelf life in the bottle is 12 years, but this is a beer that can be kept for years and years. Among the various awards won, the 2017 Brussels Beer Challenge stands out, where it won the Gold medal.

About the beer
Timmermans beers are produced in Itterbeek, in the oldest lambic brewery still in operation, respecting a tradition of over 300 years. At its origin lies a miracle: the microorganisms found in the air of the Zenne valley come into contact with the beer wort, which then ferments spontaneously. This is why a true lambic is produced only within a 15 km radius of Brussels, in the area known as Pajottenland.
Over the last century, 3 generations of "The Finest Drinks Company" have provided all enthusiasts with a wonderful journey through the world of beer. Today, every second of the day or night, two of their beers are being enjoyed somewhere in the world. The secret to this success lies in the blend of English tradition and Belgian know-how. John Martin, born in 1886 in Newmarket, UK, moved to Antwerp in 1909 and began by importing English beers; by 1912, he was already the official importer of Guinness. However, it was only in 1950 that John Martin developed a beer, the Bulldog Pale Ale, later known as Martin’s Pale Ale. In 1992, the "Finest Beer Selection" by Anthony was launched, and a year later, the Timmermans brewery joined the group. Today, this brewing group owns the formula for Guinness Special Export, a version produced in Ireland exclusively for Anthony Martin.
